Technical exchange of Gamma irradiator security and alternative technologies meet

In my last attended meeting at Westin, Mumbai on the topic "Technical exchange on Gamma Irradiator security and other alternative technologies", It was highlighted that gamma irradiation can well be migrated to electron beam irradiation for various technical and safety reasons. It was like an eye-opener for many of us in the field of irradiation techniques. The topic was well presented during our meet held on 13/03/2026. The meeting was graced by the presence of Ms.Kirstin Hiersch, Director, Radiology Safety, US department of Energy, Mr.Vikram Kalia, MD, Microtrol Sterilizations, Mr.Legoux Pierre and Mr. Martin from World Institute for Nuclear Security, Vienna Austria.
